I took my previous post down. It wasn’t fully fleshed out, and it unfortunately centered on students, when in reality I suppose I really meant programmers and developers in general. I was misleading in two ways with the previous post, and I’d like to clear it up before continuing.
[TRG Actual] experienced some downtime over the past few days. A problem with an IIS setting. A big thanks to Arvixe for troubleshooting and fixing the problem. Check them out if you want quality hosting for cheap!
I am in the process of setting up the [TRG Store]. Until its ready, here is a picture of Dr. Kuo-Pao Yang!

A little over 2 years ago I rebuilt my 3rd generation computer, replacing the case, motherboard, processor, RAM, CPU cooler, graphics cards, and optical drives. The 4th Gen build consisted of the HAF X Case
I’ve got a ton of junk… The first step is to admit that I may have had a pack-rat problem in the past. I think most tech-geeks hoard tons of old cable, remotes, and scraps of devices; I am no exception. But lately I’ve come around to the idea that maybe I don’t need all this stuff. Maybe I can live without the 12000 ft of used CAT5, and the 50 AC power cords, and the scraps of wood that are almost so small they couldn’t even catch fire…
I’ve been living in my house for a little over nine months as of this post, and I’ve been doing several projects on the interior and exterior. For more info on these past projects check out the following videos:
I’m doing a lot to this blog, and have had to reinstall the damn thing over 5 times… Permalink structure changes are not fun…
First, I apologize if you have been getting a ton of notifications from either my Twitter or Facebook account. I was unsure of how to ‘test’ if the IFTTT service was actually posting and directing information the correct way, so I just set it up and hoped for the best.
Late last weekend I decided that my office was a huge mess, and I should dedicate some time to cleaning it. A few hours later all loose objects are stowed and I’m left with the computer, and external hard drive, two monitors, a digital clock, speakers, a snowball microphone, the MIDI keyboard, my laptop stand, and the Macbook Pro… I’m happy with the setup having installed and configured Synergy to operate the Macbook with my PC keyboard and mouse. Unfortunately, I am one USB-A -> USB-B cable short. I’ve nearly torn the house apart looking for one, to no avail… I suppose there will be no keyboard until either I magic one up, or run to Target!
More to come, as I further optimize and change the desk setup.
I felt that the previous incarnations of my blogging attempts were very messy. Whether the problem was lack of organization, stagnation, or simply my own ignorance towards the platform, I’ve decided to scrap the previous BlogEngine.Net blog and start from scratch (WordPress scratch, at least)…
While I plan to migrate select portions from some of the previous blogs I’ve authored, I wish for this blog to be new and entertaining… Unlike the previous blogs… It is my hope that by connecting this blog to external services and social media that I frequent, readers may use this as the aggregate point for all projects and general mischief I’m involved in.
I have several ideas on how to keep things interesting, but then again, I’ve had ideas like that before… The real challenge is making the effort, opening the browser, and writing content! Every day, or at least every other day, put something new, with appropriate tags and categories! Here goes something!!!
